Jackpot: Mega Millions Ticket Worth $1M Purchased At NJ Gas Station

A million-dollar Mega Millions ticket was sold at a Middlesex County convenience store, officials said.

The ticket was purchased from the Atlantis Fresh Market at the BP gas station on Route 1 in Edison, the New Jersey Lottery said in a news release. The winner matched five numbers in the drawing on Friday, Sept. 20.

The winning numbers were 20, 21, 40, 49, and 55. The Mega Ball was 11 and the Megaplier was three.

No one in the U.S. captured the estimated $47 million jackpot. Another ticket sold in California also won $1 million.

The Edison winner was one of two million-dollar lottery tickets sold in the Garden State in less than a week. A Powerball ticket purchased in Newark also won $1 million on Thursday, Sept. 18.

The next Mega Millions drawing will be on Tuesday, Sept. 24 with an estimated jackpot of $61 million.
